“For over 23 years the residents of New Jersey were well represented by Congressman Robert A. Roe. This World War II veteran and lifelong public servant, left no question of his commitment to the people he served. I am saddened to hear the news of his passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
As the chairman of the House Committee on Public Works and Transportation, he understood the importance of funding our highways and infrastructures as it makes for good business sense in improving our economy. Transportation is the board on which all other games are played and Bob Roe made sure that everyone could play. Congressman Roe’s bipartisan work is something I admire and hope to emulate as we work to carry on his legacy in New Jersey.”
