WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) today published the second episode of his “Lift Every Voice” podcast focused on dreamers. The episode highlights the inspiring, yet heartbreaking stories of four dreamers from New Jersey – Elizabeth, Adriana, Deya, and Kyungmin – who were brought to the United States as kids and are fighting for the American dream.

The episode is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Play.

“Dreamers are Americans in every sense of the word except for a document,” Booker said. “They teach in our schools, they serve in our military, they work in our businesses, they sing our national anthem, and they pledge allegiance to our flag. They are Americans and I won’t leave them behind.”

“To give you a sense of who these kids are and what’s at stake, I wanted to share some of their stories on this podcast, so you can hear from them in their own words,” Booker added.”

The podcast, which Booker launched last week on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, is dedicated to shining a light on overlooked issues of injustice and inequality and sharing inspiring stories of change. It features an exclusive recording of the hymn “Lift Every Voice and Sing” performed by the choir at Booker’s church in Newark, the Metropolitan Baptist Church.
