WASHINGTON, D.C.  As the U.S. Senate begins the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump - only the third time in American history that a President has been impeached - today Senator Booker released his personal annotations to several foundational documents from the country’s inception.

Through the social medium platform Genius, the annotations provide an inside view of Booker’s thoughts and analysis on the Founders’ considerations when they created the Constitution’s impeachment provisions, as well as a helpful roadmap to the historical framework he will bring to this grave responsibility.

The annotations include the U.S. Constitution, Federalist Papers No. 65 and No. 69, the debates at the Constitutional Convention on impeachment, and President George Washington’s Farewell Address.
