NEWARK, N.J. – Ahead of Veterans Day this weekend, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) today unveiled his 2024 Veterans Handbook, an updated version of his annual, comprehensive resource guide for New Jersey veterans and their families. The handbook, available online here, is designed to help New Jersey veterans with the transition from military to civilian life and includes information on health benefits, workforce centers, employment opportunities, federal and state education programs, crisis support services, and more.
“After being elected to the United States Senate 10 years ago, one of the very first meetings I had as a Senator was with a group of New Jersey veterans,” said Sen. Booker. “We must remain committed to honoring the incredible service and sacrifices made by veterans and their families. I’m proud to have played a part in passing legislation that will close critical gaps in education benefits; increase access to timely, quality, and inclusive healthcare options; expand access to VA housing assistance programs; and help veterans whose health was forever affected by exposure to toxic burn pits. Ahead of Veterans Day, I am proud to release an updated version of this annual handbook that provides the latest information on how New Jersey veterans and their loved ones can access critical resources.”
