Congressionally Directed Spending Applications

The deadline to submit a FY26 CDS application to Senator Booker’s office was Tuesday, March 11, 2025.

You can find answers to frequently asked questions about the process by following this link.

Congressional Directed Spending (CDS) allows senators to set aside federal funds for specific projects in their states. This is an opportunity for eligible entities to apply to obtain funding for projects that would benefit from a one-time allocation of funds.

There are no guarantees that CDS requests will be funded. Additionally, the process in which appropriations bills are considered, finalized, and signed into law can take many months. Even if a project is requested by Sen. Booker and selected by the Senate Appropriations Committee, all CDS funding is contingent upon enactment of FY26 appropriations bills.

Before starting an application, we suggest reading the Frequently Asked Questions page for more information about the CDS process.

If this is a Military Construction request, please email appropriations@booker.senate.gov with the subject line: FY26 MilCon Request.

If you would like to support funding for an existing Army Corps project, please email appropriations@booker.senate.gov with the subject line: FY26 Army Corps Project Request.

All of Senator Booker's previous Congressionally Directed Spending requests and a list of awarded projects can be found on the disclosures page.
