Congressionally Directed Spending Applications

Please use the link below to submit an application for Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2027. The deadline to submit a FY27 CDS application to Senator Booker’s office is Friday, March 20, 2026.

You can find answers to frequently asked questions about the process by following this link.

Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) directs specified amounts of money to state and local governments or to eligible non-profit entities for a specific project at a specific location.

As you may know, there are no guarantee that CDS requests will be funded. Additionally, the process in which appropriations bills are considered, finalized, and signed into law can take many months. Even if a project is requested by Sen. Booker and selected by the Senate Appropriations Committee, all CDS funding is contingent upon enactment of FY27 appropriations bills.

The Senate Appropriations Committee has not yet provided guidance for FY27, but in previous years, the following Subcommittees have accepted CDS requests. Each Subcommittee funds CDS projects through one or more budgetary accounts, which each have their own specific requirements. Last year’s guidance for each Subcommittee can be found below. Please note that this is subject to change once there is updated guidance from the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Please carefully review the guidance and eligibility criteria before starting an application:

If this is a Military Construction request, please email appropriations@booker.senate.gov with the subject line: FY27 MilCon Request.

If you would like to support funding for an existing Army Corps project, please email appropriations@booker.senate.gov with the subject line: FY27 Army Corps Project Request.

All of Senator Booker's previous Congressionally Directed Spending requests and a list of awarded projects can be found on the disclosures page.
